Huge thanks to everyone who supported our ‘Step into ‘Summer’ event as we launched our fourth summer season! We had an amazing attendance – lots of friends and supporters came down to Winthrop but we welcomed a few new faces too!
And it was a delight to welcome the Mayor and Mayoress of Rotherham, Cllr Alan Buckley and his wife Mrs Sandra Buckley, welcomed on their first visit to Winthrop by our Head Volunteer Gardener, Martin Ford.
Great efforts from all our volunteers – setting up the event, preparing the Gardens, serving Refreshments in the Tea Rooms, staffing the stalls and activities and generally ensuring everyone was warmly welcomes and had a great day!!
And it was great to be working again with Sue Pearson and her team from Marie Curie Rotherham.
